I have to almost feel sorry for those who have treated me in such an ugly way.
Why?
Well, first of all, to actually have time to spend agonizing over a forum and those who post there for one thing. Forums are nice, but not what life is about.
Then, to think that you have to create lies and spread them to make yourself look better...it's just sad no matter how you look at it.
If you can't handle someone having a different opinion of you, then perhaps you should not participate in forums. We are not robots. The fact that we are different and have different thought patterns and ideas is a beautiful and good thing.
I have to almost laugh at the whole thing.
Man, it takes absolutely no guts to post anonymously on a anonymous blog. You can spew filth and ugliness and no one will ever know that it is you.
Telling one side of a story so filled with lies in an attempt to make another seller look bad.
Really, when you treat others in such a way, who really looks bad?
Do they really think that those who read such things were born yesterday?
They can't see the truth of what's going on, what has happened in the past?
Also, do they realize what libel is? Evidently not.
Thanks to all who stood up for me. To those who encouraged me not to bow to their level. You are the best.
Oh, and thank you Rob White for being such a great Admin who truly cares about the community and for knowing what is really happening. I appreciate all that you do and the time you take to invest in even me.

Sorry you had to deal with all that!
Oh gosh, I must have missed this... but that's the truth of why i'm not on the forums as much any more. This time last year, everyone was so excited to have found etsy that we all wanted the same... for us all to succeed... so much has changed there. There are still a lot of really great people on the forums, but i've started to spend my time elsewhere and doing other things now... *sigh* I have a love hate relationship with the forums anymore.
P.S. Convo me about shipping soaps, if you're interested. I'm still learning all the customs mumbo jumbo is why I don't have international listed, but I need to buck up and do it... hehee.
♥
I missed this happening in the forums but I'm really sorry you had to deal with it. Your post is very well written and I agree with so many things you said. I never understand why people feel the need to get so ugly in the forums. I tend to stay away from the forums more that I used to. I still find great information from people like you though! Thanks for all the advise and help that you've provided!
I think you said it best when you said "forums are nice, but not what life is about."
re rude comment by the person who didn't have the guts to leave their name:
Disagreeing is not the same as "not being nice."
Rather, following others around to flame them in threads having nothing to do with anything is far from nice. This is what was happening TO ME.
I have never been talked to from admin about this and for a reason...she's lying out her butt.
I haven't a clue what happened to you and clearly it was not a pleasant experience. The fora is just a microcosm of real life. As much as we go in hoping that there is some enlightened conglomerate of creative thinkers-truth is the ugly ones are in there too. I'm sorry you had an umpleasant experience and hope it doesn't deter you from speaking up and out on behalf of your thoughts and ideals. A man can't ride your back unless it's bent.
Peace.
oh my, that was just mean. Sorry to hear that you have to deal with that kind of a thing :(
hello
sorry something clearly quite ugly happened to you, , it's not always easy but try to put it behind you, don't let one yucky person/situation overshadow all the lovely people who visit and comment on your blog+shop ( like me for example! he he just trying to make you laugh, although i am quite lovely : )
