My featured seller today is Ulixis:

What she has to say about herself:
My name is Amanda, I'm 21 years old and I grew up in the middle of nowhere - Northern Ontario. My parents home is across from a river (separated only by our front lawn and a dirt road) and surrounded by fields. As such, I'm constantly inspired by the beauty of nature, particularly wild flowers, morning dew and flowing water.

I'm currently a fifth year (undergrad) Honours Biology and Pharmacology co-op student at McMaster University. This is my last semester, and it has been tough ~ especially since I was working for a whole year on my thesis. I investigated smooth muscle migration in real-time using videomicroscopy. It was fascinating, and I'm returning to continue my project for my Master's (and hopefully PhD). As such, I am quite a science geek... which is also a source of inspiration for me.

I've been crafty my whole life, and enjoy making a variety of things. When I was younger, it was drawing, then making wreathes and dolls and beading. Now, my focus has switched to making notebooks and jewelry. I love the range of colours, shapes and sizes that beads come in, and I constantly collect more and more. Buttons are also a huge favourite. I also enjoy cooking, reading, writing and problem solving.

Please check out my blog, I'm trying to keep it up to date, though I'm extremely busy. I always try to post on any Etsy purchases I make and receive. Additionally, I'm taking part in the 90 day blogging challenge, where I'm supposed to feature a wonderful Etsy artist once a day. Unfortunately, I've been too busy lately to be consistent, but I'm trying.

Go and take a peak at her cards and jewelry!

Lazy Cat

Lazy Cat is my featured etsy artist today:

Indulge in knits and jewelry!
About the artists:

Lazy Cat Gifts was created by three friends in Ann Arbor, MI. Two of them were in medical school at the University of Michigan and the third worked in a laboratory there. All of us had grandmothers who crocheted, however Kelly had the most experience.

After honing our skills for several years making many gifts for many family members and friends, we decided to try to sell some of our creations! We had a good start at a local craft show and found while searching for a gentle way to beginning selling online. (Plus, Etsy comes with the bonus of a great community of artists!) Etsy is also great for us, because Kelly has moved to Philadelphia, while Allison and Stasia still live in Ann Arbor. However, we keep in touch every day! And, we are all so excited Kelly is moving back to Ann Arbor in June!

We enjoy using the skills from our grandmothers to create wonderfully hip and modern pieces. We crochet in both yarn and wire, creating artisan crochet bead jewelry, scarves, hats, etc. We are constantly looking for ways to expand crochet, and we love making custom items!

We are updating our store all the time, so please check back often to see what new goodies have appeared!

Additionally, our Boutique line of jewelry is currently available at Suwanee Springs at 306 S. Main St. in Ann Arbor, MI. Please stop in to see these exclusive pieces!

In the past, we have featured Kelly's mom's items in "Ruth Ellen's Creations" as she is unable to make her own website. Hopefully her beautiful quilts and tasty dog treats will return soon.

Cuddle Baby

My featured etsy seller in the 90 sellers in 90 days is Cuddle baby.

From the artist:
CuddleBaby was created out of a passion making blankets and other items for my two children. It all started with my first baby. I liked to swaddle her, but couldn't ever find blankets big enough. So, with my 2nd, I started making my own. I began thinking that others might like large blankets also, so I began selling blankets at our local Gardener's Market until I found out about ETSY. I am always looking for new ideas, so keep checking back for new colors, fabrics and designs.

Now I know I have been at this for longer than ninety days due to some circumstances in my life-I hope you all will hang in with me as I continue in this :).

A few days ago I got a convo on etsy from another user ( MaggieMoo ) wanting to know if I made rings.
Well, I haven't really tried this, but she wanted something really simple and said she didn't mind being the guinea pig.
She had been looking on etsy and unable to find what she was looking for.
So, I tried a few things. Some didn't work out so well ;).
But, I came up with a very simple herringbone ring.
I really like it!
Not only was I able to create something for someone that they were looking for and will love, but she helped me create a new item for my shop!

Beautiful hand made clothes!
My featured seller today is KreativeMindz

About the artists:

KreativeMindz is our company I started about 6 years ago (a dream I've had forever). Aly and Beau are a husband and wife team, supporting each other through love, laughter and creativity.

We mostly make clothing (in all sizes and colors), Goddess Wraps™, Hot Packs, Bags, Purses, Wallets, Cuffs and many other cool things! Beau is a very skilled craftsman and carpenter. Check out the Wooden Kreationz section to see some things my husband is now adding. :D

I was born and raised in a home of artists. My mother a painter, and my father a photographer.
As kids we always were doing some sort of "project". This has continued for me thoughout my life, dipping my hands in all sorts of creative "projects". I found my nitch in sewing. I LOVE creating different things. I picture it in my mind and then it is my "gift" I suppose. And I enjoy working with the different fibers to see what can be done with them.
I mostly stay at home and mother our 2 wonderful and beautiful children (10 and 3), my husband and best friend, our 3 dogs and a cat, and our beautiful land. This keeps me busy, as I'm sure you can imagine, but I try to sew on a daily basis, even if it's only 15 minutes. I have been making clothes for many, many years (15 to be exact). I first started when I was 15 and made a patchwork skirt by hand for a show I was going to. As I got older I bought a sewing machine and began making clothes to support my traveling and music habit. I have traveled all over the country selling my clothes at all the wonderful shows and festivals. I miss that sometimes but am so blessed to have my 2 wonderful and beautiful children. When my son got older I started working in the film buisness...helping design sets and such. This was wonderful and fun work, but I truly missed being home. My daughter was born 3 years ago, and with the help of my wonderful and supportive husband, I started to stay home again. And KreativeMindz started to blossom.

I am so very thankful to have this opportunity to be able to watch my children grow!!! We enjoy our land and our organic gardens. Hiking, fishing, swimming, playing, camping, fires, drum circles and a show when we can catch one. My husband is a carpenter and loves working with his hands and building wonderful things!

Thanks to all of you whom support us stay at home mamas and independent artists!!!! And thank you for helping our dream become reality! We truly appreciate all the support! :D

Personal Treasures

Today I am featuring Personal Treasures:

What she has to say about herself:

Hi, I’m Phyllis Mufson, a jewelry artisan and a creative career and small business coach. I started making jewelry while directing the Locks Career Center at Moore College of Art & Design, an inspiring environment where I worked with wonderfully creative people.

Now I work in my sunny living room where I talk with clients and have all of my jewelry equipment close at hand. My design inspiration is my 23-story “bead condo” – clear, stacking sectioned boxes brimming with color-coordinated gold and silver, gemstones and pearls.

Earlier in my life I was a textile artist and that sensibility influences my designs. I'm concerned with how the jewelry drapes and moves with the body. I'm also inspired by my customers. In addition to my ETSY stores I sell through private jewelry shows so I get to see how women respond to the jewelry. I talk with them about what interests them, and find out which designs are particularly flattering to wear.

If you like Personal Treasures but are looking for something more simple or casual please visit my Mufi Jewels store at

You can learn more about my coaching practice at
I also have a blog where I write about creativity and creative people –

I sell wholesale. If you are interested in carrying my work or hosting a jewelry party please email me.

Be sure to check out the rest of the lovelies in her shop!

Paulette Insall

Buy Handmade

About the artist:

Like many other artists, Paulette has been creative from a very young age. From making knotted bracelets and hair accessories as a child to taking photos for her high school year book when she was older. She never thought of herself as an artist until a few years ago. For many years she dreamed of painting, but could never bring herself to pick up a paint brush until October of 2006. That's when her love of creating stories with paint and paper began.

These days when she’s not busy entertaining her very busy four year old son, you will find her stealing any moment she can in her home studio pouring her thoughts and emotions out into the visual stories she creates through her art.

My art is about the search for connection…to self, to like minded spirits, to family, and to God. Most of my work depicts a sole woman because these are the stories of my own personal search and the emotions they invoke within my soul. My hope is that the visual stories I create with my art touch people from all walks of life and let them know that they are not alone…and find comfort in that knowing.

She also teaches classes!
I will be offering online classes starting Feb. 18th....visit the link below for all the details.

Please visit my website to view more work or my blog to see what I'm up to and chat.

Be sure to head over to her shop and see all her charming paintings! (Maybe find something special for that special Mom in your life.)
